Mojang clarify new rules to “prevent Minecraft servers becoming pay
Personally I would recommend a larger server so that you have a smaller chance of losing all your work to a server shutdown. And the drop rates of ranks from loot crates being lower than mythic drop rates here on wynn. An example is dungeonrealms, it was pay to enter at one point for -beta-acess and only about 100 people paid, then it went F2P because they weren't getting any money, it shot up to about 10,000 players, then they pretty much stopped updating and fixing bugs. People are going to have to downsize their servers to a level they can keep donations up on then. Is it now impossible to find a legitimate competitive minecraft experience? They might find a way to let you play for free while having the same permissions. You need to realize that every server isn't going to have mineable mob spawners and free Prot X armor right from the start. My first criteria for a server was simple.
Quote from A server that has 15,000+ people logged in should have no problem getting people to pay for entry to those servers. Please read the sidebar and the before you post! These servers that actually abuse the currency now won't even be taken down. . Quote from They might find a way to let you play for free while having the same permissions. Even the 5 servers 'sponsored' on these forums all have pay to win transactions.
So, I took another glance around the minecraft server scene. Much to my disappointment when I couldn't find a single server that was not obviously pay to win from the store page and was interesting enough to look at. Let me stress this again: most of these large servers are not pay to win. Except only a small portion of that community are actually donors. I'm looking for a non pay to win server, I don't know if these servers even exist apart from civcraft but if you know any please tell me about them. Like what if someone put a minecraft block adds pixel art in certain areas advertising stuff for companies? I couldn't care less about the super massive servers, if they're smart they will figure out a way to do it within the rules. Lets not make Minecraft about pay walls anymore, and lets join Mojang in eradicating these servers from existence.
And I don't want advertisements about random things that don't relate to minecraft when I'm talking to people. However, I played on CosmicPvP for 2 years, so I can explain the p2w items they have. Minecraft isnt the same anymore. Very few Minecraft servers are pay to win. Your post might have been caught in the automatic spam filter. A guy bragged about getting 3 maxed out picks in one day, and I asked how he did it, and he apparently bought them on the server's real money shop.
The ones paying for 40 slots, when they almost never break 15 people are overpaying on hosting fees. People will not line up to play on a server, you can tell because none of those exist, but have existed before, and failed badly. Or make your server good enough where people are lining up to pay just to get in. People don't want visual effects. I'm going to use the Humane Society, as that's the first one that popped into my head. You're assuming the playerbase can all give money to keep such a large server going, but they simply can't. I'm willing to downgrade to earlier versions of minecraft if need be.
Its unlikely you'd keep that ship floating even by selling pay-walled content. Less people play on servers with 30-40 players, than servers with 5000+ players. All of us are 18+ if that helps. Everything that I've ever learned, experienced, or felt while playing this game has been poured into this server to give you the best possible playing experience we can create. Most players clamored to Sanctuary which is skyblock after I made that live.
Except thats a horrible reason to lock features unless you donate. If you know about the Humane Society's goal sorry, I don't know if this exists outside of the United States. I will not be cut off from playing just because I didn't donate. It doesn't matter if you do 100 resets, it's always going to end up a group of people whether it be donator's or not banding together to take out the newer people. I completely disagree with you on that.
And still, no one spawns with diamond armor, you have to work your way up to it, donator or not; too bad if you might get killed a few times, welcome to the gamemode. It isn't fair, and Kit never will be. I know what all is involved in running a medium sized server. Apart from their twisted staff, the server was kinda fun though. If you've seen my earlier posts, you know how bad I am at making analogies. It's not just to split the cost.
Another large portion of that community are 18-24 year old college students who simply don't have the extra cash lying around to pay for such a subscription. I do not think you can fly and you definitely cannot heal on Hyperion, which is factions. You writing this like that makes you looks like this annoying kid that always takes the side of the teacher to show others how he is the most loved, then in the backyard gets beaten and bullied for being an even though what he did was legally correct As a server owner I know how much work I put into this server, and I get depressed seeing that noone comes online. Most players used to play survival, build and just have fun with friends. I wont call out the server, but I saw many many things wrong with that. A server that has 15,000+ people logged in should have no problem getting people to pay for entry to those servers. While there is PvP, it's only there to enhance the feeling of survival and vanilla Minecraft.
Now everything has some form of pay to win that has high impact such as the best gear or the right to play ranked ladder matches more than 20 times a day in some minigames thing. They have about 100 items on their store. Please send any message about subreddit business to My friends and I are looking for a server that has factions and raiding like the good old days without the pay to win that seems to have taken over. Now you're lucky to see 20 people online. People who pay money to play are much more trustworthy then random people who show up.
